The stories of identical twins’ nearly identical lives are often astonishing, but perhaps none more so than those of these identical twins born in Ohio.
On February 9, 1979, identical twins, Jim Lewis and Jim Springer, met for the first time after being separated for 39 years. Since their real mother had put them for adoption shortly after giving birth, the identical twins were separated at birth and were raised in different families.
Even though the twins had grown to adulthood completely unaware of each other’s existence, their lives are pretty identical. To start of both of them are named Jim. Both of them had childhood dogs named Toy. They had married women named Linda. Lewis named his first son James Allen while Springer named his first son James Alan. The twin brothers also divorced their wives and married other women – both named Betty. They love to drink Miller Lite and smoke Salem cigarettes. They love stock car racing and dislike baseball. They love to go to same Florida beach every holiday. They spend their spare time making doll furniture in their basements. They give their wives love notes regularly. They also died on the same day, from the same illness.
